CryptoParty is a decentralized, global initiative to introduce cryptography software and the fundamental concepts of their operation to the general public. CryptoParties are free to attend, public, non-commercial and politically non-aligned. (see the guiding principles)

Cryptoparty $COUNTRY

This is the default space available for cryptoparty organization in $COUNTRY. This is your wiki as much as it's the wiki of everyone else. Please edit as you wish , and help maintain this page! A good start would be to translate this page into your local language.

One wiki for each country

An equivalent wiki exists for each country of the world! Change the country code $COUNTRYCODE in the web address of this page $COUNTRYCODE.crypto-party.org to the country code of the place you live in, and you should find the wiki of your country.

Mailing List

Two initial e-mail mailing lists are available for coordination of cryptoparty efforts in $COUNTRY.

  • A public e-mail list for public discussions: $COUNTRYCODE-discuss (at) $COUNTRYCODE.crypto-party.org
    • This e-mail list has a public archive that will contain everything that people send to the list. This list requires you to subscribe (become a member) of the list before you can post to the list.
    • It's easy to become a list member! Simply open the list information page, enter your email address, receive the confirmation email and follow the instructions to confirm.
  • An easier e-mail list that everyone can send e-mail to immediately: $COUNTRYCODE-info (at) $COUNTRYCODE.crypto-party.org
    • Only members can read the messages that are sent to this e-mail list (but anyone is allowed to become a member). Past messages will not be archived. Everyone can easily send an email to this list, and it will likely see spam over time (but also interesting inquiries by people that don't want to or don't know how to use mailing lists).

Why two e-mail lists? If you actively help CryptoParty in your country, you should subscribe to both lists. Use the $COUNTRYCODE-discuss list for discussions. Advertise the $COUNTRYCODE-info address to make it possible for everyone to contact you, even if they don't know yet how a mailing list works (or if people don't want to become a list member). You should encourage people who write to the $COUNTRYCODE-info list to use the $COUNTRYCODE-discuss list instead.

Community growing?

Is your community growing and you need additional mailing lists? Would your local community prefer to have full control of the $COUNTRYCODE.crypto-party.org subdomain, so you can run your own services? Just let us know!
